The first track on the new 2024 album: “El Chief de San Quilmas” by Conjunto legend Santiago Jimenez, Jr. con Woody Rodriguez y Manny Tololoche
This recording captures a special afternoon session in December 2023 when Manny stopped by for a visit at Santiago’s studio in San Antonio. All of these tracks were recorded live in a single take with no overdubs. Woody Rodriguez, Santiago’s regular bajista, is here playing his Macias bajo through a vintage Alamo amp.
Santiago Jimenez, Jr. – accordion, vocals
Manny Tololoche – tololoche
Woody Rodriguez – bajo sexto
True vine music
